The race has been much anticipated, with initial plans to host the race in Miami first put forward back in 2019, however due to various roadblocks the deal has only this year been agreed upon. The deal now includes a $5 million support programme for local businesses and the community, including a STEM education programme for local schools. The race will take place around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of football team the Miami Dolphins. The track is 3.36 miles / 5.4km, and cars can be expected to hit top speeds of around 198mph.
