Superyacht photographer DrDuu has captured the 160m luxury mega yacht PROJECT BLUE at the Lurssen shipyard as she undergoes outfitting ahead of delivery.

The 160m/525ft mega-yacht was launched in February 2022 and is expected to be the fourth largest yacht in the world once delivered. She has a beam of 22m/72ft, a volume of 15,320 GT, and purportedly has interior and exterior styling by Terence Disdale.

Few further details are currently known; however, images reveal a spacious beach club aft, seven decks, a foredeck helipad, a second helipad on the sundeck aft, and a Jacuzzi plus sunpads on the sundeck forward.

M/Y PROJECT BLUE will be delivered later in 2022.

Italian shipyard Baglietto has announced the launch of its 42m/138ft luxury planing yacht RUSH from its facilities at La Spezia along the Italian Riviera.

The aluminium planing yacht is a return to the shipyard’s roots, celebrating speed, power and performance in a vessel which has a futuristic appearance penned by Francesco Paszkowski, who also created the interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini while Plana Design handled the naval architecture.

A transom door in the stern creates a large swim platform for lounging and sunbathing beside the water, while a side hatch behind allows for easy launch and retrieval of the water toys. The interiors feature a main salon with a dining area and a skylounge joined to the pilothouse on the upper deck, creating a second spacious social area with a cinema set-up. Alfresco dining and lounging options are placed on the upper deck aft, which also has sunbeds in addition to the foredeck.

Triple MTU 16V 2000 M96 L engines with two traditional shaft line external drives and a VOITH linear jet central drive grant a top speed of 28 knots 

The accommodation is designed for up to 10 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, and 2 twin cabins.

The 63m Oceanco luxury yacht LUCKY LADY has emerged from the shipyard into the spring morning as she nears the end of a six-month refit and 20-year survey before returning to the Western Mediterranean charter market this summer.

CharterWorld broker Lara-Jo Houghting was on-site to witness her as-new appearance up close and to take a tour of the Oceanco facilities. The shipyard is renowned for its strict maintenance of client confidentiality, and it, therefore, came as no surprise that photography was forbidden during this visit. The facility proved an impressive sight that showed why Oceanco is one of the most prestigious shipbuilders, building some of the world’s largest mega yachts and winning plenty of accolades.

Built in 2002, 63m/205ft superyacht LUCKY LADY has naval architecture from The A Group and naval architecture by Oceanco, while Zuretti Interior Design originally completed her interiors. M/Y LUCKY LADY had an extensive refit in 2017 before her most recent shipyard visit.

The Owners have an entire deck dedicated to their comfort, with his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms, an office and a sky lounge fitted with a bar and terrace along with the benefit of 270-degree views. There are 4 further guest suites to accommodate up to 10 guests in luxury within the 1,083 GT interior.

Life alfresco is just as affable thanks to the plentiful lounging areas, sunbathing spaces, two alfresco dining areas, and Jacuzzi and bar up on the sundeck.

A pair of Caterpillar 3512B DITA Diesel engines grant a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 5,500 nautical miles. 

Bering Yachts has announced the launch of its first B145 luxury expedition yacht HEEUS – its biggest luxury yacht to date.

The 44.2m/145ft vessel was launched on Thursday the 28th of April at the Antalya shipyard in Turkey. She is a semi-custom vessel constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with naval architecture by the shipyard’s in-house team.

Features aboard M/Y HEEUS include an ice belt to explore the polar regions, a beach club followed by a tender garage of more than 25m2/269ft2, a flybridge with Jacuzzi and bar, a generous interior salon and dining area for 12 guests on the main deck, and a further dining area on the upper deck with the sky lounge.

The onboard accommodation can sleep up to 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins, which include a main deck master suite with glass windows covering an area of 9.5m2/102ft2. There is also accommodation for a crew of 10.

A pair of Caterpillar C32 Acert engines of 1,200 BHP at 1,800-2,100 RPM give a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots with a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles. A hybrid propulsion system uses a propeller-driven by electric motors, which are in turn charged by a battery bank. This battery bank can be recharged by a high-efficiency variable-speed DC generator, and docking and mooring are possible in electric more for more environmentally friendly cruising.

Italian shipyard Benetti has launched its 41.1m/135ft luxury yacht VICIOUS RUMOUR III.

The Benetti Oasis 40 motor yacht has an exterior design by RWD with a dark grey hull and superstructure that has an almost matte appearance compared to the dark glazing. Notable on-board features include a spacious beach club with fold-down bulwarks and a broad swim platform for lounging right beside the water, a main deck aft pool, a sundeck Jacuzzi and bar plus plenty of sunbathing spots.

Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture created the desirable minimalist interiors, which have the feel of an open loft for a sense of space along with a connection to the local environment.
