“We are excited about the sale of the second unit of Bilgin 163, which is a reflection of the yacht’s exceptional design and the superior quality of craftsmanship by our team,” said İsmail Şengün, CEO of Bilgin Yachts. “It is gratifying to see our ambitious project come to fruition and receive such positive feedback from our clients.”

With the interiors designed by the renowned Italian studio Hot Lab, Project Ame features a great amount of natural light, allowing for plenty of warmth and comfort aboard the vessel, while great attention to detail has been paid to the choice of colours and shapes.

The design is created upon a few natural colours which include the entire range of sand, cream, light grey and off-white elements. It is characterized by a modern look, rich in textures and reflective elements, which at the same time enlarge the space and give the real feeling of an ultra-high-end product.

Innovative contemporary materials, such as 3D massive woods, metal-mesh laminated glasses, chromed stainless steel elements, rich carpets and fabrics directly coming from the wealthy Italian textile heritage create laid-back interiors with an elegant and stylish flair.

Exterior design and naval architecture have been created by Unique Yacht Design boasting sporty yet stylish and elegant lines and vast exterior deck areas. The Bilging 163 model offers 20% larger areas than a standard 48m yacht would, providing guests with even more space to enjoy.

Project AME will be powered by two CAT C32 engines, reaching a maximum speed of 16,5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Her range at a half load and at cruising speed is 5,000 nautical miles.

Large windows throughout

Six spacious guest cabins include one full-beam VIP suite and a beautiful master stateroom, located on the main deck forward. The entire interior was created to reflect the Owner’s wishes and lifestyle when on board. Brushed oak has been used for the soles and the ceilings are lacquered in light tones. Leather panels in various shades of grey with highlighted joints were chosen for the walls. Headboards are covered in soft nabuk and are coupled with dark grain leather in the owner’s apartment and the VIP suite, and dark brown leather in the four guest cabins on the lower deck.

Sandblasted Botticino marble has been used for the floors in the bathrooms, while the interplay of brown, bronze and black streaks of the Saint Laurent Velvet and Velvet Brown marble in matt or glossy finishes embellish the bathroom’s wet surfaces. Even the mirrors in the bathrooms have been re-proposed in smoked and Havana shades to blend with the colours of the floors and walls.

One of the focal points of KINDA’s interior must be the majestic main staircase with wooden steps, supported by a central pillar of polished stainless steel and bannister.

Guest on board will surely enjoy the fantastic beach club or appreciated the side-loading tender garage in the stern, while the crew has been placed in the forward section and includes the accommodation, service area, galley and crew mess.

Celebrations as sailing yacht NILAYA is christened in Amsterdam

The beautiful National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam was the backdrop as sailing yacht NILAYA was christened last week. Royal Huisman created this unique 46.8m (154’) yacht using their innovative holistic Featherlight™ method, a multi-disciplinary approach focussing on weight reduction.

During construction, her weight was carefully monitored by a specialist engineer who worked with every department to analyse and make improvements in real time. As well as improving sailing performance, reducing weight means the yacht needs less power when motoring –  a positive for the environment and also the internal capacity.

The Royal Huisman team developed a unique ‘tribrid’ propulsion system on board luxury yacht NILAYA giving the owners’ their request emergency ‘get home’ engine.  The owner was also clear that she should be completely dual purposes, equally able to provide luxury cruising with family or friends and regatta winning credentials. Royal Huisman were up for that challenge …

To combine the comfort and robustness to explore the world with the owner’s request for a lightweight yacht that would be responsive at the helm and competitive in superyacht regattas wasn’t an easy task”, explains Nauta’s co-founder Mario Pedol.
