ISA Yachts launches ISA Granturismo 45 model luxury yacht ARIA SF
ISA Yachts, part of Palumbo Superyachts, has launched its new ISA Granturismo 45 model luxury yacht ARIA SF.
The ISA Granturismo 45 is the smallest model of the Granturismo series, which also includes the Granturismo 50 and Granturismo 67. She features a plumb bow and athletic lines, with a grey steel hull and white aluminium superstructure. The naval architecture comes from Palumbo Superyachts while the exterior styling is by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi and the interiors from Luca Dini Design & Architecture.
Guests will have everything they need for cruising in comfort and luxury: A spa pool is fitted to the main deck aft with sunbeds and sofa seating leading from the sunshine into the shade. The foredeck comes with large sunbeds to soak up the sunshine and take in uninterrupted views of the anchorage, while the flybridge is a cosy setting for lounging, casual dining and sunbathing in peace.
The interiors have yet to be revealed by the shipyard, however, layouts for the Granturismo 45 model show a large main deck salon with glass sliding doors on both sides to let the elements in, and a dedicated dining area on the upper deck where once again the glass sliding doors can be pulled back to create a more alfresco setting.
The accommodation sleeps 10 guests in 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms and 2 twin cabins. A crew of 9 will ensure that all guests receive first-class service throughout their stay.
A pair of CAT C32 ACERT engines each producing 970 kW @ 1,800 RPM give a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,800 nautical miles at an economical 12 knots.
M/Y ARIA SF will make her public debut later in 2022 at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show, both commencing in September.
Contract signed for 47-metre luxury yacht ‘THE FIRST’ at Alpha Marine Ltd.
Alpha Marine Yacht Designers & Naval Architects will commence construction on luxury yacht THE FIRST, a 47m/154ft Diesel-electric hybrid, before the end of 2022.
M/Y THE FIRST will be built in Greece under the new firm ProMarine Yachts S.A. She has been designed for an experienced Owner with an on-trend appearance of a ranked bow and sweeping lines to the stern which will stand the test of time. Her sleek hull will match and exceed RINA classification while providing excellent stability and manoeuvrability, and low resistance at sea. Of note is her cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion with Azimuth thrusters, which few yachts in this size category have installed.
Superyacht THE FIRST offers comfortable living for long-term cruising as well as for charter use, and the semi-custom model has the choice of 5-6 en-suite cabins to sleep up to 12 guests. She provides plenty of storage for a wide array of water toys in addition to other coveted amenities while remaining below a volume of 500 GT.

Introducing the luxury explorer yacht ER65 from RMK Marine
RMK Marine has been awarded the construction of a 65m/213ft luxury expedition yacht ‘ER65’, designed by Ivan Erdevicki of Vancouver-based studio ER Yacht Design.
E/Y ER65 will be built to polar and Lloyd’s ice-class requirements and will be one of a select few vessels to have the Polar Code B – Ice Class PC 6 classification. State-of-the-art technology and luxuries on board ensure that all guests have a safe and comfortable journey.
ER yacht Design will also complete the interiors, which will be timelessly classic while maintaining a plain and clean appearance. Amongst her amenities, there will be a library, gym, sauna, massage room, beach club and medical room, while elsewhere on board there is a deepwater submarine that will be stored within a watertight compartment, a helipad with a refuelling station and the latest generation of hybrid propulsion.
The accommodation is designed to sleep up to 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and 5 further guest cabins. There is also accommodation for the expert crew of 20.
RMK Marine has a wealth of experience in constructing ice-class vessels to polar standards, and its commercial venture includes models over 150m/492ft. Once completed, motor yacht ER65 will become the flagship for the shipyard luxury yachting line.
The keel for explorer yacht ER65 will be laid in Q3 of 2022 and her completion is expected for summer 2025.
Golden Yachts 88-metre superyacht PROJECT X close to completion
The 88m/288.9ft luxury yacht PROJECT X (ex.Z) has been transferred over to the Golden Yachts shipyard in Greece as she nears completion.
It has been a long journey for motor yacht PROJECT X: Her construction began in 2007 at the Marco Yachts shipyard in Santiago, Chile, before being placed into storage at the Delta Marine facilities in Seattle, the United States. Halkitis Shipyard has been working on her since 2019, and she has now been transferred to Golden Yachts for outfitting.
Superyacht PROJECT X has an exterior penned by Ken Freivokh, while the interiors are by Alessandro Massari from Massari Design. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are finished in silvery-white, and notable outdoor features include a main deck aft swimming pool, a raised Jacuzzi on the bridge deck aft, a sundeck spa pool forward and a helipad on the foredeck.
Transatlantic journeys will be easy to accomplish using her two Caterpillar engines of 2,485 HP, producing a top speed of 17.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 14 knots.
The accommodation sleeps up to 14 guests over 7 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and 6 further guest cabins. A professional crew of 24 will take care of all the details throughout every cruise.
M/Y PROJECT X is expected to launch later in 2022.
Mengi-Yay launches luxury yacht LA VIE
Turkish shipyard Mengi-Yay has launched the first of its Virtus 46 models, the luxury yacht LA VIE.
Known as NB101 during production, motor yacht LA VIE has naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects, exterior styling from VYD Studio and interiors from Leonardo Santini Design. Golden yellow and contrasting dark chocolate accents highlight the warm cream tones used throughout the interior, adding to the sense of space and serenity within.
The first two Virtus 47 hulls were sold in February 2021, and all Virtus 46 models are customisable. As standard, the main deck Master suite comes with a fold-down terrace, and the main salon aboard M/Y LA VIE comes with a fold-down terrace on both sides. Other customisable features include the option of the Jacuzzi and pool in different configurations, the choice of a longitudinal or transverse tender garage and even the position of the superstructure.
The upcoming 47.2m/154.10ft NB102 will be launched in a couple of months, while the 47.3m/155ft NB100 will be launched in 2023. Both of these will have interiors by Red Yacht Design.
Feadship launches 42.5-metre luxury yacht CALLISTO
Feadship has announced the launch of the fully custom 42.5m/139.5ft motor yacht CALLISTO in early April at its facilities in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands.
She is the second yacht named CALLISTO for her Owners, the first also being a Feadship-constructed motor yacht, measuring 65.2m/213.11ft, built in 2006 and last refitted in 2021. She was the first superyacht to have an advanced rudder-roll system installed.
This smaller CALLISTO has been custom-designed to fit her berth in the Mediterranean, and before the design process began the Owners stipulated a top speed of more than 20. Her naval architecture from De Voogt Naval Architects and aluminium hull and superstructure has created an excellent performance at high speeds, reducing pitch and lowering resistance. The twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines CALLISTO have been installed with both produce 1,939 kW @ 2,450 rpm to create a top speed of 21 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles at an economical 11 knots, matching the Owner’s requirements.
The exterior styling is also by De Voogt, who has given her an athletic appearance. Within, the interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design match the spirit of summer in the Mediterranean with light and refined colour scheme with an emphasis on space.
Overnight, M/Y CALLISTO accommodated up to 10 guests in 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms and 2 twin cabins.
The crew accommodation sleeps up to 8 over 5 cabins, consisting of 3 twin cabins and 1 single cabin on the lower deck, and the Captain’s cabin on the bridge deck.
Luxury yachts impress at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2022
The 40th edition of the Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) ran from the 24th to the 27th of March, showcasing an extensive collection of luxury yachts, lifestyle products and more, over four days.
For 2022 there were 475 exhibitors and 363 boats of various sizes, plus 22 seminars ranging in topics from fishing tips, fire safety & theft prevention, and local efforts to protect the biodiversity of the region.
Westport Yachts was well represented at the event, with five different models from the shipyard on display. Other notable shipyards in attendance included Heesen with luxury yacht ODYSSEA, Sanlorenzo with the SX88 and SD96, Sunseeker with several models, and Rosetti Superyachts with superyacht EMOCEAN.
