There is ample space on the bow for lounging facilities and other amenities, while the stern section offers a large swim platform, with the aft sections gradually becoming narrower from the main deck up to the sundeck. The white hull matches perfectly with the superstructure, further contrasted by long dark windows that stretch the length of the interiors, which were created by Nauta Design and FM Architettura.

The main deck aft is a shaded social area providing curving sofas around an oval coffee table and another sofa in the sunshine along the stern. The interiors are inspired by the changing curves of nature and the ocean waves, with the soft shades of the sea and sky colouring the social spaces. Metallic silver and gold are used to great effect in the lounges and accommodation, and the golden lights above the formal dining area add to the enchantment of a meal together after dark. The latest technology is integrated seamlessly into the surroundings for the utmost comfort and the best entertainment whether hosting a large celebration or winding down with a film at sunset – all within a cavernous ceiling height of 2.35m/7.7ft.

68m luxury support catamaran yacht WAYFINDER hits water

Spanish shipyard Astilleros Armon has launched the 68m/223ft luxury support catamaran WAYFINDER, a larger ‘evolved’ version of the 66.2m/217ft luxury catamaran HODOR launched in 2019.

HODOR support vessel also built by Astilleros Armon – Photo of Wayfinder will be published soon…

Incat Crowther produced her naval architecture and exterior styling, North American YCTS gave technical assistance and the interiors are the work of Oliver Design.

Notable features include four decks, of which there is an extensive upper deck aft for the storage of tenders, vehicles and water toys, plus a helipad and helicopter on the stern with a hangar below. The 14m/45.9ft beam provides ample room for both the vehicles and a workshop for spare parts and a rescue tender. The crew accommodation provides for the 18 crew running WAYFINDER and 14 additional staff or crew for expeditions.

The water and fuel storage onboard has a capacity for 22,000 litres and 200,000 litres respectively, and a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M73L diesel engines provide a top speed of 21 knots with a range to follow the mothership wherever she cruises.

To reduce the environmental impact on her destinations, M/Y WAYFINDER has two propulsion engines produce 2,832 kilowatts each that are designed to reduce the vessel’s nitrogen oxide emissions to two grams per kilowatt-hour. Wastewater is treated on board before being discharged into the ocean, and all solid waste generated is treated and stored onboard.

Construction and outfitting are still ongoing at the Burela dock before support yacht WAYFINDER commences her sea trials before being delivered to her Owner.

M/Y WELL DONE features an interior by Cor D. Rover Design, while the shipyard in-house team produced her naval architecture and exterior appearance, which looks seamless with a white hull and superstructure contrasted by large dark windows on the main and upper decks.

Within, the lounge and dining area are light and contemporary, making use of various types of wood and white furnishings to amplify the sense of space within the already roomy 7m/22ft beam.
